Experience

Mordecai is an experienced business development professional, possessing more than 20 years in the life sciences. After several years in public accounting at Ernst & Young, working with a variety of business and entertainment clients, Mordecai transitioned to the life sciences, working alongside physician-entrepreneurs to help design and implement successful commercialization strategies. In this capacity, he has served in a variety of senior business and leadership roles in therapy development, diagnostics, and clinical research. He most recently served as Executive Director of Business Development at Baim Institute (formerly the Harvard Clinical Research Institute) where he orchestrated nearly $500MM in complex and consultative research engagements with life science companies, across the spectrum of clinical research and therapy development. In doing so, Mordecai has become recognized in the life science community for bringing together industry sponsors, academia and cross-functional trial operations teams to answer many important and data-driven research questions that have improved patient health and quality of life. Many of these results have led to and supported FDA approval, enhanced evidence-based practice and have been published in leading peer-reviewed journals. Mordecai has undergraduate degrees in Accounting and Economics from Yeshiva University and an MBA from McGill University in International Business.

Why I Joined Carevive

My career goals and priorities include making a direct and tangible impact on patient care. Carevive represents the opportunity to make a true and lasting difference for cancer patients, for whom many unmet medical needs exist and where incremental improvements to care can improve quality of life. The focus and energy of the Carevive team appealed to me as much as the unique and comprehensive platform that has been developed for assisting patients throughout all phases of their treatment and care. Digital health technologies are becoming more pervasive in healthcare by engaging patients, physicians, researchers and regulators in ways that were previously not possible.

I have been so impressed by all of the accomplishments that the Carevive team has made thus far. I, therefore, believe that Carevive can and will be an important part of the emerging digital health narrative and will become widely recognized for making significant contributions to the field of oncology. I look forward to contributing to this story!
