Amanda is a Bachelor’s-prepared Oncology Certified Nurse who completed her Nursing education at the University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing. As a chemotherapy-certified registered nurse at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, she cared for adult inpatient oncology patients and helped manage patient needs across the disease trajectory: from diagnosis through end of life. In her current role as a Research Nurse at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, she collaborates with an interdisciplinary research team in conducting a wide variety of clinical trials for the treatment of genitourinary cancers, and caring for adults receiving these investigational therapies. She works closely with patients and their families to educate them about investigational drugs, evaluate trial drug adherence, monitor for toxicities, and manage the complex symptoms of cancer and cancer therapies.
