As an oncologist and palliative medicine physician, Dr. Roeland is committed to finding more effective solutions for improving the quality of care for cancer patients with advanced disease. He understands the importance of integrating cancer treatment with optimal symptom control. He also has the unique advantage of having fellowship training and board certifications in both oncology and palliative medicine.
His current research is primarily focused on symptom intervention clinical trials across the entire spectrum of cancer. Ultimately, he wants to promote a new standard for cancer care: simultaneous integrated oncology and palliation.
