Carlton Brown, PhD, RN, AOCN®, FAAN is Director of Professional Services at Oregon Nurses Association. Dr. Brown is a long-term oncology nurse with a national presence as a faculty member, health care leader, and author/editor. He is a retired Army Nurse, serving 20 years in many health care assignments across the world with clinical experience working with patients and families with cancer. He is Past President of the Oncology Nursing Society and the Oncology Nursing Certification Corporation.
Dr. Brown holds a PhD from the University of Utah, a Master’s degree as an Advanced Practice Nurse from the University of Pennsylvania, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from the University of Louisville. He is a fellow in the American Academy of Nursing (FAAN). “
