Embrace value-based care

The future of cancer care reimbursement.

The move to value-based care kicks off a new age for oncology practices. While it’s easy to become overwhelmed by this opportunity, remember that value-based care aims to improve care quality, contain costs and provide better outcomes. Carevive helps cancer centers maximize their opportunities in programs such as the Merit-based Incentive Payment System (MIPS) and the Oncology Care Model (OCM).

The future of cancer care reimbursement.

Implementation of value-based care allows outpatient cancer practices to participate in new post-reform reimbursement programs such as the Oncology Care Model (OCM). OCM’s two-part payment system incorporates per-beneficiary Monthly Enhanced Oncology Services (MEOS) payments and a potential for performance-based payments (PBP) tied to meeting performance indicators and cost savings.

Carevive enables OCM participation by offering the technology and clinical expertise necessary to meet requirements and maximize performance payments using key performance indicators and real-world evidence analytics to monitor and improve care design.

Our treatment planning tool is the first rules engine technology to auto-populate the 13 elements of the IOM care management plan required for OCM. We build scientifically rigorous, rules-based risk stratification algorithms in our platform that link with our care management tools. By using this technology, you can identify populations at high risk for hospitalizations and ER visits.
