TARGET AUDIENCE

This activity has been designed to meet the educational needs of hematologists, medical oncologists, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, clinical nurse specialists, and oncology nurses involved in the care of older patients with multiple myeloma.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

After completing this activity, the participant should be better able to:

  • Recognize new data regarding the screening and management of older patients with MM
  • Employ an electronic screening tool in clinic to evaluate frailty status among older patients newly diagnosed MM or those needing a new line of therapy
  • Provide appropriate care and counsel for patients and their families.
