Memphis-Based Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare selects Carevive to Enhance Patient-Centered Cancer Care Planning and Remote Symptom Monitoring

North Miami, Florida — December 17, 2020 — Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare System will implement Carevive’s comprehensive oncology continuum of care solution integrated with their Electronic Health Record (EHR), giving clinicians access to vital oncology patient information at the point of care. The Carevive decision was made in September and kicked off in mid-October with an expected go-live early 2021. Aligned with Methodist’s strategic growth plan, Methodist Cancer Institute is on a rapid trajectory to become the prominent Comprehensive Cancer in the western Tennessee, Mississippi, and Arkansas region. Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare System is affiliated with the University of Tennessee and operates a primary cancer clinic at Memphis University Hospital. Planned acquisition of St. Francis Hospital in Memphis will substantially increase the system’s oncology services and resources.

Methodist’s decision to implement Carevive was driven by a desire to accelerate execution of its mission to deliver high-quality, cost-effective patient- and family-centered care.

“Carevive’s integration with the EHR is proven to have a positive impact on outcomes, reducing hospitalizations and enhancing the patient experience,” says Adriene Kinnaird, Senior Director of Oncology for Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare. “Our team believes Carevive’s industry-leading care plans and utilization of ePROs as part of routine care offer an optimal solution that will improve care and increase efficiencies across our entire cancer care network.”

“We’re delighted to support Methodist Le Bonheur in offering home-based symptom monitoring and care planning to their cancer patients,” said Carevive Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer Madelyn Trupkin Herzfeld. “I’m excited about our partnership and the opportunity to contribute to the growth of the Methodist Cancer Institute.”
