Patient and population cancer care management tech company strengthens leadership team
North Miami, FL 1/16/18 — Carevive Systems (http://www.carevive.com) announced today that Jamel Giuma has joined the company to lead the product management team and oversee the direction and design of its oncology-focused technology products. Jamel Giuma comes with over a decade of experience within the healthcare industry, having spent the last four years at Sunquest Information Systems, where he was directly responsible for a product portfolio of over a dozen products, including interoperability to EMRs, laboratory automation and instrumentation, meaningful use, physician portals, billing, and laboratory outreach solutions.
Jamel joins Carevive as Vice President of Product Management to further develop Carevive’s solutions that integrate patient, clinician and the most comprehensive guidelines for optimal quality of cancer care and improved financial outcomes. “I’m very excited to join Carevive and make an impact in cancer care,” states Jamel. “Cancer recently took a dear friend of mine, and to join a company with such passion and commitment to reshape the way cancer care is delivered is an absolute privilege.”
Prior to Sunquest, Jamel spent over a decade in information technology, as well as co-founded and sold his own third-party logistics company.
Carevive’s Chief Executive Officer, Madelyn Herzfeld, is delighted that Jamel will be joing the company. “We are very excited to have Jamel as part of our management team,” she said. “His expertise and success in building EMR-integrated care management products will allow Carevive to offer data and workflow integration now requested by our clients who have been relying on using our products in a busy clinic. Physicians only spend 25% of their time on patient care because of documentation and administration. To improve clinical outcomes, we must free up the care team’s time for what matters most – cancer patients!”
