Carevive has a new opportunity in Philadelphia, PA for a Project Manager who will be responsible for managing quality projects throughout the project lifecycle and ensuring that world-class service is provided to our cancer center customers by coordinating cross-functional teams to deliver timely, high quality deliverables.

Additional responsibilities:

  • Develop and ensure adherence to project management methodology throughout the lifecycle of the engagement
  • Manages multiple projects that have a distinct beginning and end
  • Works with client to determine project scope and requirements
  • Serves as liaison between Carevive and clients to ensure all targets and requirements are met
  • Monitors and reports project and/or team performance against specified goals and objectives, ensuring that the project is delivered on time and within project budget (when appropriate)
  • Understands project impact to the existing and required workflow
  • Assigns and tracks appropriate training plans for end users
  • Able to identify risks and create risk mitigation plans when necessary
  • Manages project to ensure on time delivery without sacrificing high quality standards
  • Utilizes and promotes the use of PMO standard documents and SOPs
  • Builds and maintains client relationships both internally and externally
  • Seeks continuous improvement in processes, procedures, and outcomes
  • Works in accordance with corporate and organizational security policies and procedures
  • Develops detailed project plans/schedules and maintains/manages the project budget, timeline, resources, charters, and client communication
  • Responsible for the following: managing project action items, risks/issues and all project deliverables; managing cross-organizational interfaces as needed; facilitating project meetings; generating agendas/minutes; and driving projects through all deployment phases

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in health care related knowledge or experience and / or information management
  • Be able to travel 25 – 40%

Requirements

  • 5 – 7+ years of pure Project Manager experience – not ‘doing an IT role and some PM work’, but working exclusively as a PM
  • Extensive experience of project management tools, preferably MS project server and MPP plan construction and maintenance
  • Good experience and understanding of project reporting cycles, status reports, metrics
  • Has either managed/coached a team/individual junior PMs in the past and is looking for a career growth move to take on more responsibility

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience of working with a project support organization (either remote or direct)
  • 5 – 7+ years’ experience with Clinical Systems
  • 3 – 5+ years in managing clinical IT projects
  • PMP Certification
