Overview: 

Executive team member directly responsible for all Accounting/Admin and Human Resource functions in the company.

Essential Responsibilities/Duties/Tasks:

  • Oversee the timely completion of monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes. Reviews the Company’s financial performance with management on a monthly basis
  • Manage the Company’s budgeting and forecasting processes, capital expenditure planning and cash requirements planning
  • Prepare monthly financial statement package and analyses of actual results compared to budgets and forecasts
  • Maintain a documented system of accounting policies and operations
  • Advise on financial analyses and decision-making regarding capital investments, pricing, contract negotiations, significant costs, benchmarks, and other matters with management
  • Establish and maintain job costing necessary for Grant reconciliations
  • Cash flow management and monitoring
  • Oversee the Company’s accounting system and internal control structure to ensure the integrity of all transactions, systems, processes, and data. Develop and implement new control policies and procedures as needed.
  • Manage bankers, external auditors, tax specialists, and valuation experts
  • Support due diligence for fundraising activities and other financial transactions, as needed
  • Provide guidance on all SaaS license pricing
  • Ensure adherence to GAAP (SaaS revenue recognition and Software platform capitalization)
  • Coordinate and manage business insurance renewals
  • Define, benchmark and implement operational best practices
  • Comply with all local, state, and federal laws regarding finances, tax filings, and reporting
  • Manage company capitalization table and activity
  • Manage Accounting, Admin and Human Resources staff

Qualifications (Experience and Education):

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration – CPA Preferred
  • 10 years general accounting experience, with minimum of 5 years working as a Controller in a SaaS-related business REQUIRED. Healthcare technology preferred.
  • Strong financial modeling skills
  • Experience with CAP Tables
  • Exceptional knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, cost accounting and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Experience working with project accounting and/or grants highly preferred
  • Highly efficient with exceptional organizational skills – able to manage multiple projects and prioritize in a dynamic setting
  • Must work from our North Miami corporate office location
