Job Title: Business Analyst
Department: Product Management
Reports to: VP Product Management

PURPOSE

Work with our product management team to identify and prioritize requirements for current and future products and help validate with customers. Responsible for translating requirements into user stories that will populate our product backlog. Partner with software engineering to further analyze requirements so that they are in an executable state. Lead the development of requirements and work with product management to obtain acceptance of each developed product feature. Collaborate with product management and software engineering to produce the necessary materials needed to bring each new feature and product to market.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate with product managers, customers, and cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into executable user stories for the software development teams to implement
  •  Conduct client-facing focus groups to solicit feedback and gather user requirements
  • Develop and maintain an appropriately prioritized backlog of requirements for development
  • Work with product managers and technical leads to determine scope and priorities for each release and development “sprint”
  • Work with development teams to ensure that they understand the vision for the product and are designing great features for our customers
  • Develop appropriately detailed specifications for product features so that they are clearly understood by the development teams
  • Inspire and motivate the development teams to deliver innovative and exciting solutions with an appropriate sense of urgency
  • Author and maintain Release Readiness documentation such as Release Notes, Implementation Guides, etc.
  • Work with product managers, program managers, and other key stakeholders across the company to ensure successful product releases
  • Manage change control board in conjunction with Support, Product Management, and other key stakeholders to review and approve software change requests

REQUIREMENTS

  •  1 to 3 years of proven work experience in software development for one or more software products – experience with healthcare-related software is a plus
  • Proven track record of participation in a software development lifecycle (SDLC) for one or more successful software products
  • Solid background as a very hands-on business analyst, product owner or requirements engineer
  • Experience in producing detailed requirements, along with low/high fidelity mock-ups, and with thorough acceptance criteria
  • Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to roll up one’s sleeves to get the job done
  • Skilled at working effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Strong communication skills
  • Agile development experience a plus
  • Although remote will be considered – South Florida location is preferred
